Air Lift 1000 universal kits provide additional support for vehicles with coil spring suspension where a vehicle-specific kit may not be available. The polyurethane air bags fit inside the existing springs, helping to maintain ride height, improve stability and reduce bottoming out when carrying additional weight.
By adjusting the air pressure, the suspension can be tailored to suit changing loads without permanently fitting stiffer springs. Whether you're carrying tools, transporting equipment or heading away in a fully loaded camper, Air Lift 1000 provides support when you need it.
Universal kits are available in a range of sizes and are selected according to the dimensions of your existing coil springs.
Adjustable air bags help maintain ride height when carrying additional weight.
The air bags are installed inside the vehicle's original coil springs, and provide additional support as the air pressure is increased.
When carrying a heavier load, simply increase the pressure to help restore the vehicle towards its normal ride height. When lightly loaded, pressure can be reduced to allow the original suspension to operate more freely.
Air pressure can be adjusted using a standard tyre pump or an optional onboard compressor system.

Increase or decrease air pressure to suit the load, without permanently changing the spring rate.
Backed by Air Lift's limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, providing long-term reassurance.
Additional support helps prevent the suspension reaching the end of its travel under load.

The Air Lift 1000 kit is designed to supplement the original coil springs, rather than replace them.
The air bags sit within the springs and provide additional support as required, making them a practical option for vehicles that regularly carry varying loads.
Installation generally requires no major suspension modifications, although the procedure varies depending on the vehicle.
Unlike vehicle-specific Air Lift 1000 kits, universal kits are selected according to the dimensions of your existing coil springs.
To find the correct size, you'll need to measure the internal diameter of your coil springs and the available height between the spring seats, with the vehicle sitting at its normal ride height.
It's important to measure the available space with the suspension installed, as the free length of a removed spring can be considerably different.
Our measuring guide explains the process and helps you identify the most suitable air spring dimensions for your application.
Unsure which size you need? Contact us with your measurements and a photograph of your existing springs, and we'll be happy to help.

Air Lift 1000 kits provide additional suspension support but do not increase the vehicle's permitted payload, axle weight ratings or gross vehicle weight.
Universal kits are not supplied for a specific vehicle application. Please check your spring dimensions and available clearance carefully before ordering. Contact us if you need assistance selecting the correct size.
Air Lift 1000 air springs are covered by Air Lift's limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the manufacturer's terms and conditions. Shipping charges may apply when supplying warranty replacements.
